Senior Accountant

The ideal candidate will not be satisfied with just performing required tasks but will actively seek out ways to support teammates and improve the overall value and effectiveness of the Finance function. The Senior Accountant should be well-versed in all aspects of accounting and able to independently handle monthly close and other accounting responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating and

    entering transactions.

  • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and

    analyzing account information.

  • Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure detailed, accurate accounting and forecasting

    of inventory balances

  • Participate in quarterly inventory physical and set up processes to comply with audit as

    needed

  • Maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly close (income statement, balance

    sheet, cash flow statement etc.)

  • Manage liquidity by preparing weekly cash forecasts

  • Provide payroll processing support with 3rd party payroll processor as needed

  • Support external audit by providing auditors with all supporting information.

  • Provide support for both managerial and GAAP accounting

  • Assist in management of receivables and collections processes as directed by VP of

    Finance & Admin

  • Supervise junior accounting staff (A/P, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations)

    as directed by VP of Finance & Admin

Requirements

  • 5-10 years’ experience in Accounting/Finance

  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA preferred

  • Experience with Xero and Bill.com preferred

  • Experience with financial reporting requirements

  • SFAS rules

  • Familiarity with ASC 606

  • Research and analytical skills
